Our company developed Calm and Confident, a mobile app to help users feel calm, for Mark Grant, a clinical psychologist specialized in stress, trauma, and pain treatment. This app combines audio tracks with BLS (bilateral brain stimulation), crucial for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy, and works on mobile devices and PC tablets.
Calm and Confident includes BLS and non-BLS audio tracks, along with animated videos, all in one playlist. BLS tracks blend music, voice-over instructions, and metronome ticking, while non-BLS tracks exclude the metronome. Mark Grant recorded all tracks in a professional audio environment, using his voice for guidance.
The app’s video tracks feature animations synchronized with the audio, each frame drawn to meet specific BLS-frequency needs. These videos aim to boost the BLS audio’s effect with visual stimuli. All images, tailor-made for this mobile app to help users feel calm, were designed exclusively for Mark Grant’s project to enhance calmness and silent strength through their style and color scheme.
As a result, the mobile app was published on all iOS and Android markets. At first, our customer has tried this app among his colleagues but now it is available for anyone who has access to the Australian markets. So far we didn’t get any global additional requests regarding the app.
The main goal of the app was turning a music album that Mark Grant recorded a while ago into something more modern, mobile and personalized. Since the tracks themselves have proved to be efficient on their own record it was only logical to give them a new life in the form of a mobile application with a few unique features.
